DARK WATER

I felt that this was a long overdue book to help families and their friends going through the transplant process. I wish I had this book when I first found out I needed a transplant because it truly is a life changing event. I know, my family and friends went through it with me. I could never have faced it alone.

This book is comprised of many stories from many patients, their families and support persons. It is a difficult road with many a heartache and gut wrenching moments. Many of us suffer from PTSD as a result. I find I am more anxious now than before and have a hard time sleeping as I awake with panic attacks. I am hopeful that this book will help others going through this and feel a little less alone through this challenging time and gain understanding through other transplant patient’s experiences. May each and every one of you who reads this book have a safe journey through this challenging process.
